Melissa & Doug Solar System Puzzle: Enhance Learning Through Fun! Review

It looks even cooler in real life. We bought it for our son's 4th birthday. It is located in the solar system and has all the planets and dwarf planets memorized. I'm glad the puzzle pieces are big, I was afraid of losing them. If your toddler is also interested in planets, you might also like educational resource inflatable planets and wall stickers featuring planets, constellations, and rockets/spaceships. I'm thinking of buying some other floor puzzles after this one.

This is a great puzzle game. This is our second giant floor puzzle from Melissa & Doug and both are excellent. Thick, strong pieces that hold up well and are large enough for small hands to easily assemble. My 3.5 year old daughter keeps collecting this and our other floor puzzles from Melissa & Doug and she loves that she can make everything herself. We have some floor puzzles by Melissa and Doug. My 3 year old loves jigsaw puzzles! He's mastered all of his riddles in Kindergarten and is always looking for a new riddle (and they keep him calm, entertained and out of trouble while he solves them - what more could you ask for?) I bought this for my nephew when he was two years old because he was obsessed with planets and also loved puzzles. He was able to assemble it himself in a few days but continued to love it and put it together (along with some of his other favorite puzzles) over and over again. It has held up very well through frequent use (and sometimes abuse) by the toddler. The parts are thick and strong, they connect well to each other but also easily detach. Our 3.5 year old daughter loves jigsaw puzzles. She was good at it from a young age, preferring these types of puzzles (for the floor or tabletop) to the simpler ones that fit in wooden trays (although we have plenty of those too). She puts three or more puzzles in a row on the living room floor and then wants to put them away for all to see. Puzzles to get them working on smaller piece sizes and more detail. (She has her eye on a 100-piece puzzle that she wants, but it doesn't quite suit her.)
