Universal toy! Best Toddler Toy

So many options with this toy, stacker, color sorter, shape sorter, counter etc. It's great to have everything in one toy rather than 3 to 4 separate toys. The only negative for me is that the base is rounded. I don't understand the reason for this as it's frustrating for someone learning to fold as it can easily be knocked over so I just have to hold the base for it as he plays with it until he develops the motor skills to do it to hold it alone Other than that, this toy is great and…

Fun toy for toddlers

My 18 month old daughter seems to love this toy, has been playing with it for a while which is great. The only thing I didn't like was that when I opened the package it smelled like spray paint and the pieces stuck together and I had to take them apart. I get nervous when she tries to put them in her mouth. I have a lot of these toys from Melissa and Doug and nobody has had this problem so I'm not sure but overall a great toy and she loves it. Update: The paint smell didn't last long and seems…

Affordable and versatile

I bought this for my little one when he was about 17 months old. He loves to. He immediately understood the main purpose of laying wooden panels by color. Once he did that, he started playing with it more creatively, swapping colors or layering duplos on top. The label has plenty of other ways to play with it, too. For such a low price, it's surprisingly versatile. Great outdoor toy. Like all Melissa and Doug toys, the wood isn't an heirloom, but it doesn't have to be. I believe it will survive

An excellent teaching tool. It's hard to keep track of the parts.

This is definitely the best toy to play with when someone else can play with the baby. But the kids love it! The pieces are big enough not to choke on and there are many things you can teach a child by using it. You could teach them how to put pieces on pins, teach them colors, and finally teach them how to count. The problem with this toy is that parts can easily get lost, especially if children are allowed to play with it alone. We scheduled a cleaning 3 times a day to 'reboot' our house and…

Cool toy! Suitable for baby toys

My daughter has been playing with this toy for almost 2 years now. It was supposed to be sorting and stacking at first, but it quickly awakened her imagination for other types of games. These are "tomatoes” and "olives” that she cooks with, these are the pieces of a puzzle that she uses to put together "rainbow pizza”, these are coins, a cake, beads that she strings on yarn and wears like a necklace. The possibilities for this toy are endless. My 10 month old loves it too and now that I see…

Sturdy toy and ideal for learning through play!

Before my second child was born, I was looking for new durable toys that my little one could (hopefully!) play with while I cared for my newborn. I really like this toy. This is a durable toy with vibrant colors that I know will serve us as a family for years to come. As a teacher, I was very excited about all the educational possibilities of this toy. We sorted by colour, shape and practiced counting with each piece. My toddler loves to pretend to put the pieces on the wrong colored pencils…

Very painful but favorite toy

The blocks are very strong, after my toddler hit them due to unexpected ninja attacks I have a lot of bruises but I feel my reflexes are broken in just a few days have become faster. My 2 year old loves sorting these rocks, they helped her learn the colors. She brings me a block and I say a color, then she repeats that before throwing that block at me. My only issue is that the stand is very solid. My daughter is used to holding the base by the red pin and turning it over her head or on top of…
