Too thin. If you have to manually remove the filter due to the lack of a removable filter holder, then this is not what you need. It breaks too easily. If you prefer ground coffee in the basket, on the floor, and on your hands before heading to the bin, this is for you. I bought this with the coffee maker I just received. I love cone brewers, but for some reason they are becoming increasingly rare. I prefer unbleached filters for environmental reasons, but they're hard to come by. It may be my imagination, but I swear the bleached ones add a light flavor to the coffee. shallow enough that soil can't penetrate and strong enough that it won't tear when you take out the used soil to compost or whatever you do with it. I bought the first batch of these coffee makers at the start of the pandemic and both of us who are quick to prefer our own coffee filter especially when working with it at home during the pandemic. All you have to do is separate a filter as they are tightly packed but easy to take out of the box. I use them in my Cuisinart coffee maker. I've found that the filters at the bottom of the stack often don't stay open during brewing, resulting in too much grind in my coffee.
