    Rating 5 stars!: Clothing and accessories

    5 Star Rating! I just got it for a car ride we took yesterday. Our dog HATES the car. She trembles, drools and vomits often (very nice). Our vet suggested trying one of these compression bandages. In short… it worked! She lay down and slept most of the way. The first. And she seemed to enjoy wearing it. Thumbs up!

    Worth a try! Best among dogs

    This vest has helped our dog a lot. We adopted a Pound Chihuahua mix who loves to bark at every unfamiliar noise he hears (and even some familiar ones). This vest calms him down enough that he doesn't bark every time a dog barks on TV. Is this a complete solution to the problem? No, but every little thing helps, and Little Lord Fauntleroy is very proud of his fancy clothes.

    Don't worry: clothing and accessories

    This shirt isn't thick enough to offer calming properties. It's basically a t-shirt for dogs. In order to provide a reassuring feeling, the shirt has to exert some pressure, and this material is so thin that it cannot do that. I thought I would have saved some money by going with a non-brand, but I should have just paid the extra and gotten an actual Thunder Jacket for my pup because that's what I did anyway.

    Really like best in shirts

    We have used Thundershirts before but decided to give it a try. Very easy to put on. Fits like a glove with our Astrakhan fur. We've only recently had this shawl, but she seems to like it a lot. The Thundershirt definitely calmed our dog down and the Mellow Shirt seems to be working too. The Thundershirt has an extra flap that's really easy to adjust for a snug fit and security, and the fabric is nicer. But for the price, MellowShirt seems great.

    Works very well. Almost a Thunder shirt.

    I am a veterinarian and animal welfare professional so I have used this style of shirts on many occasions. Compared to the Thunder shirt, I rate it 4 out of 5. This shirt is lighter and does not cover the dog as much as the Thunder shirt. Other than that, it works almost as well as a Thundershirt. It doesn't have the double velcro system on the stomach like the Thunder shirt.     My dog Maddy is afraid of thunder, fireworks, etc. She starts shaking like crazy, her little heart is beating so fast that she is choking.     Received the Mellow shirt on delivery date. Delivered quickly, packaging is ok. I have a 54 lb pit bull and bought a large one. I chose the large ones based on weight recommendations and the fact that pit bulls have a much broader chest than other breeds. I usually have to take larger shirts or collars to fit her chest and neck size. The photos provided by the company do not give a good picture of velcro.
