Variety is key when it comes to art tools

I'm still learning to paint and haven't decided on any specific tools yet, so I'm going to try them. I found them superior to the Micron in all pen sizes. I recently tried Winsor & Newton's truly waterproof eyeliner and that's the element they're missing. I don't like how they react to water and at the moment I prefer ink + watercolor. For me, variety is key.

Pros
  • Lots of choice
Cons
  • There are downsides

My favorite pens are best in markers

I just wish it was easier to get Zig pens. They are a stylus pen, do not flow, do not run, do not fade. Yes you have to keep the cap on when not in use as the needle dries out but they are worth it and with this little precaution they will last a long time. Great for anything that needs to look clean written or drawn, as durable as ink and less hassle.

I am completely dissatisfied with this product

I am completely dissatisfied with this product. I wanted a pen that was easy to write with, but it's not. The dot seemed to drag across the paper instead of flowing, and the ink appeared a faded black. I was trying to replace a zig pen I bought a while back and it was amazing. Looks like this one has been discontinued. They still had blue and purple ink, but I needed black ink.

Pros
  • Inspiring confidence
Cons
  • Upgradable

I found an old Zig I' marker I've had an eternity and was so impressed I ordered them. They glide on smoothly, dry quickly and leave a glowing black line. Four stars because of the .8 nib. They're usually more durable due to the larger size, but my tip wears out pretty quickly. I use good paper so I don't know how this happened. It could be good user error (not me, no!) or a bad pen, to begin with. Five and three are the ones I use the most and they hold up well with the cheap eraser I use. I…

Pros
  • The ink is fade resistant, acid free, fade resistant and does not smudge once dry
Cons
  • I will add later

Thought they would be great; Disappointed

I've used them to paint on rocks a couple of times. I've had some of these grips a while back that are starting to wear out so thought I'd replace them with the same ones as they've lasted so long. The first few times the new ones worked great! But after about 4/5 use they dried up, I don't even write on paper anymore! I have put off replacing my old ones to make sure there is nothing better on the market. I thought they were the same as the old ones, but unfortunately they aren't. Not only do…

Some dried up

I've loved this brand for a long time. I needed a new package and ordered one but didn't open it until about a month after it arrived. I was very disappointed to find that 3 pins were dry. And even Pinterest didn't help me bring them to life. I thought maybe it's because I didn't open it right away? Seriously, I have several of the same pens of different colors and millimeters that I've had for TEN years and they still work. I'll take some blame for not opening it as soon as I got it so I can…
