You know a knife is good when it's mentioned in conversation. This knife is sooooo sharp and the serrated edges cut through everything: tomatoes, bread, steak. But be careful, I stupidly cut my hand cutting a frozen croissant. Lesson learned? I won't do it again!

This was exactly what I was looking for. A bread knife that cuts bread. The best knife I've ever had. With other people rating this less than 5 stars I'm probably never satisfied with anything. Today I buy their other knives for cutting vegetables and fruits.

I like this bread knife, it's sharp, easily cuts through crusty bread and not too expensive to replace when it becomes dull. I have German, Swiss and Japanese quality knives but I wouldn't spend more on a bread knife because they don't sharpen well once they get dull.

I have a Wüsthoff bread knife that I love and will be replaced with a Wüsthoff under warranty. I bought this to last until a Wüsthoff replacement arrives. I was surprised by the quality of this knife but be aware that this knife is VERY sharp. be careful. I had a little accident when I first used it. Other than that incident, I've enjoyed using this knife. It's great for slicing brisket!

I've had an old bread knife for a couple of years and it's finally not cutting like it should. I got tired of kneading my bread because I had to press hard to cut it. This Mercer knife was the answer to my prayers. It's sharp enough to effortlessly slice through my homemade bread. I always hand wash and don't trust the dishwasher. It also fits perfectly in my existing knife holder. I love this knife.

This 10" knife was a winner in America's Kitchen test but the 10" knife didn't fit in my knife block holder so I ordered the 8" version and it's a great knife . It's comfortable to hold and cuts like a dream. It slices through thick corn like butter. The thick crusty bread doesn't sweat at all and it slices so smoothly. I love this knife. It's well made and beautiful. .For the price it couldn't get any better.This is the nicest knife I have in my kitchen right now.Thank you Mercer!

This knife cuts through anything so easily! I bake my own bread and it's very soft. All my other knives would crush it, but this knife cuts into clean, even slices with minimal effort. I cut the chicken breasts into thin fillets and they were perfect! I love it so much I've ordered a second one and one for my daughter. And the customer service was GREAT! There was a problem with the delivery (NOT THE COMPANY'S FAULTS), but even in the middle of the quarantine, the problem was solved…
