Great shoes for the little ones

Our 3 year old normally wears a size 8 but still fits into his size 7. We wanted them to last a few years hiking so we ordered 8.5 and 9 to try. His fingers were already 8.5 by the end, so we left 9 even though he hadn't filled the width of the toe yet. He was able to walk in it for 2 hours on 2 different days without complaint. Also, the orange color on the shoes was lighter than the other size, don't know what the difference is.

Pros
  • Breathable, durable, great grip
Cons
  • I expected them to last a long time...but they fell apart after the first week. Super disappointed.

I ordered these sneakers for my son. I ordered size 7 for big kids but when they arrived I got toddler sneakers. This is after I first ordered them, they never arrived. Make sure you have an older child to check the size before buying. The shoes themselves are good. They looked solid.

Pros
  • Shoes are good but tight. Difficult to transfer them to an active 3 year old.
Cons
  • I didn't like that they were sooo small. I bought fir for a small child, not for a child.

Durable shoes for non-stop toddlers

Great for my toddler's wide feet. First off, these are super durable shoes! With them he can run, climb on everything. Now his buddies have similar pairs too because they're "so quick" at it. But be careful with speed quotes as they are from three year olds.

Pros
  • My grandson loves these shoes. They fit very well and are well made and durable. Would buy again.
Cons
  • I ordered the correct size but couldn't fit my son's foot in the shoes...he doesn't have a wide foot...had to return the shoes.

Great shoes difficult to put on

I bought size 8 for my one year old son who has wide feet. These shoes are well made and have a wide toe box so my son's feet fit well but unfortunately they are difficult to put on. I have to push his foot very hard to get him into the boot. I wish they had wider openings. Now I'm hoping they loosen up once they're broken in, but I think the elastic sewn onto the shoe is preventing it from opening further, so I don't know. I would return them if my son didn't run into the backyard as soon as I

Pros
  • Great shoes for my little one!
Cons
  • I ordered a large size. But the hole is too small.

Invalid article: my review

3 stars because Merrell shoes are always great but this is not the item I ordered. I ordered size 5 small child. The description says that the shoes are suitable for children aged 4-8 years. I received shoes for babies or toddlers. This shoe is not suitable for children aged 4-8 years. The entire shoe almost fits in the palm of my tiny hand. Too bad. I love Merrell shoes and they are probably great shoes for toddlers. I had to go back.

Pros
  • Great shoes for growing children's feet. My toddler walks great in it!
Cons
  • size inaccurate

Baby lottery shoes, love it.

Buying shoes from this list can be a gamble. As written in other reviews, some of them are small and some are large. Good for me as I can use both. A few months ago I found Merrill hiking shoes in my larger kid size as new stock at half price (different listing). For $26 I really liked the style, I was told the shoes are comfortable so it's ok. I would never pay full price as they wear out easily with less use from kids as they are not even suitable for everyday use. The lottery is in stock. I…

Pros
  • One of my grandchildren is always climbing in the stream, on rocks or in the mud. These shoes are fantastic.
Cons
  • The shoes were too hard for a small child.

Very well done in my opinion

I love these shoes. They are very well made and great for hiking etc. They run small and are a bit difficult to put on but my 3 year old grandson loved them.

Pros
  • They gave my child the best balance and support
Cons
  • You can swap for a larger size for a wide leg. "Wide" size is not wide at all!

Just bought a second pair!

These are my son's favorite shoes! They've held up well and we've just bought another pair a size up so he can keep wearing them.

Pros
  • My son loves them!
Cons
  • Not suitable for hot weather

Excellent sneakers in my review.

We bought these shoes for our toddler to go hiking. They are great and very durable. The sole has very good support and grip. As others have mentioned, they are a little tricky to use, but as long as your child steps on them, you can easily walk on them. We will continue to buy these shoes as our toddler loves to go hiking. I also liked Revain's "Try before you buy" feature, which allowed us to see how well they fit before making a purchase. We definitely recommend this shoe and will buy it in…

Pros
  • These shoes are unisex, so suitable for both boys and girls.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for children with foot injuries or disorders.

Durable and quality shoes for a child of 2 years.

My 2.5 year old loves these shoes! I was already a huge fan of Merrell shoes and have a few for myself so getting them for my son was a no brainer. They are very durable, fit perfectly and I'm sure they will last a long time. I will definitely be buying a few more when he outgrows them!

Pros
  • You are beautiful!
Cons
  • Limited sizes available

Grippy : my review: my review

They fit my daughter like a normal size 6. They are comfortable for long distances. She has been walking up and down steep slopes in the mountains with no problems (at 2 years 4 months) so these shoes feel very grippy. Very cute and durable!

Pros
  • Fits well and true to size.
Cons
  • May not be strong enough for active kids.

Ideal for hiking: my rating

Ideal for hiking. My son used to wear different shoes and was slippery the whole hike. With them he had a firm grip on his next hike and did not tire so quickly.

Pros
  • They are a bit more durable than the standard Nike, Adidas etc, they fit well and look good.
Cons
  • Can easily wear out over time

No broad final rating

I ordered a wide one for twin babies. However, the shoes are not wide and difficult to put on children's feet. One of my twins has very narrow feet but we were able to put shoes on. The opening is too narrow and tight. The laces cannot be untied.

Pros
  • My son has normal feet but these shoes are really too tight. He cannot support himself. Quality is ok
Cons
  • They feel strong but are difficult to put on as the material is not as flexible.

3 years of hiking in my review

They fit perfectly for my 3 year old 3 mile backpacker. He slipped a few times on the gravel and dirt trail (a tricky arching hike in Utah) but climbed up and down the rocks with no problem. He wore them for several days in a row and never complained that they hurt his legs.

Pros
  • My son loves these shoes. They look cool and offer great support and grip. Thank you Merell.
Cons
  • Bulky design

Costs money. Not bad shoes

They were so great for my child and durable that I bought a pair for my older child! I can say that they provided good support and quality.

Pros
  • It's good for hiking. My 2 year old son loves it.
Cons
  • May not provide adequate traction on difficult terrain.

The best casual shoes for toddlers.

My son started to tiptoe when we put on cheap Revain shoes so early. We have invested in them and they are the best! 100% recommended for toddlers walking/walking (ages 2+)

Pros
  • The moderately high ankle collar offers additional support and protection on the trail.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for children with sensory problems

Fits snug - good quality shoes

I bought these shoes for my kid to go hiking in the woods. We do this a lot and we needed something with the clutch. have these. They are difficult to put on children's sneakers. When they're on, they're uncomplainingly comfortable. They aren't too heavy. I think the quality is quite good - I wish they were easier to put on. The price is fair for the brand and I would buy hiking shoes again. I hope the next pair won't be so close.

Pros
  • These are the best walking shoes for kids. The color is very cool.
Cons
  • May cause blisters or discomfort

Shoe size is definitely the best in my rating

Merrell shoes arrived in a used box but the shoes themselves looked somewhat new. The seams are in tact and the shoe is a bit stiff. The arch is low. The shoes are exactly the same size as other shoes my little one wears and fit perfectly.

Pros
  • These running shoes have a non-marking outsole that offers great traction on a variety of surfaces.
Cons
  • hard to crack

My judgment is too narrow

I really wanted to like these shoes but my son complains that they are too tight. It fits a size 6 Reeboks. He outgrew his size 6 Stride Rite so I went for a size 7 but it was too tight.

Pros
  • They are made by a well-known and respected brand, so you can be confident in their quality and performance.
Cons
  • May not provide enough shock absorption

Fell apart after two rides

I want to love them but after two hikes in two weeks they are falling apart in the toe box and the grip is already worn in places.

Pros
  • My 3.5 year old loves picking them out. They seem to be well made and are holding up well (he's been wearing them every day for a few weeks now).
Cons
  • Shoelaces can be easily untied
