This was put at the bottom of my list due to less than perfect reviews. However, they fit my 12.5 inch foot better than the Trail 5 gloves, which quickly became one of my favorite running shoes. Didn't get the smaller size they recommended and I'm happy with the length. I love the Trail Glove 4 and this 6. If I had to choose, I would choose the 6. I use these shoes exclusively for CrossFit.

In general, I regularly go for walks in good shoes. A little more lateral support would have been nice. Also, I often wear a size 12 at Merrell's. For some reason I had to go down to a 13 in these.

I really wanted to like these shoes. They look amazing and I have an old pair of Merrell Vapor gloves that fit... well, like gloves. So I expected a similar match for her. They are true to size so the length of the shoe wasn't an issue, but the midfoot was very narrow and the Trail Glove 6 actually hurt me before I even took my first steps in it. I quickly walked down the hall and had to take them off. It's a shame when minimalist shoes get too complicated.

It was annoying enough with the extra cost, but the sizing is terrible when you have the extra foot width. Move up at least ½. I loved my 4s and wanted to upgrade. Merrell, just because you can introduce new casts from the same series doesn't mean you have to. Still zero drop, still well built, but the minimalism and roomy fit that were so comfortable on early models are a thing of the past. This is my first pair of Merrell shoes. I didn't know what to expect but I liked the look, they're pretty comfortable and versatile and the price wasn't bad either.

This shoe has a little more cushioning than the previous version, don't get me wrong, at my age (50+) I need extra cushioning when running on the street, they are comfortable and I have no complaints.
