I wore them every day and they only lasted 4 months. The stitching in the nose only goes through 1/8 inch rubber. So it's only a matter of time before it breaks. The heel is made of very weak foam and polyester that will fall apart after being put on and taken off if you put it on and take it off a few hundred times. Although they were comfortable and looked good, I would not buy them again.

I have had a pair of Merrell World Passports for a number of years. I had to replace them but I couldn't find my passport for some time. I recently stumbled across the World Legend 2 style and gave it a try. This is a Passport model with some minor changes: the Passport had a leather lining, while the Legend 2 has a typical fabric lining like a tennis shoe. After reading some reviews I decided on a size 9 width which is perfect when received. I've bought a pair of Merrell shoes before, so I know the brand. After reading several reviews on this particular model some of them said the fit is snug even though the shoe had a wide sole I went with the 9 wide ones. After all, these are casual shoes, so the wide profile didn't bother me.

I was hoping they would be a good replacement and match the quality of my World Passport shoes which they no longer make. While they look the same on the outside, they lack the extra padding that passes have on the inside, particularly at the top. They only have an outer leather backing as opposed to the very nice inner lining that passports have. Why change something good?
