Overall great for power tools

I questioned the battery life because the smaller of the two batteries failed after about two charges. I've had this set for almost a year now. The big battery still works great. And the drill is ergonomic and I love the Weida metal chuck they come with. I checked the subway site for the battery but this message turned up nothing. Called them and after about 10 minutes of waiting spoke to someone who said they would send me a replacement battery.

Pros
  • POWER: 620 in-lbs. for a variety of uses
Cons
  • obsolete

Quality is still the same

*Upgrade* although it still works I have one complaint - the clutch kicks out quite a bit when I'm drilling metal quite a bit lots of 1/8-1/4 inch steel so I'll try the 36 volt steel I just ordered. I have a Milwaukee M18 and it handles steel drilling with ease. Great tools while Metabo delivers the quality I've come to expect from Hitachi. And you can't beat the price of this instrument.

Pros
  • WHAT'S IN THE BOX: Rotary Hammer 18V with 1-36V battery and 1-18V battery
Cons
  • Expensive

Mmm okay. in power tools

Well for starters this thing is pretty damn powerful. As if it might forcefully break your wrist, the torque is insane. The Rock Impact Bit glides through thick cement/concrete like a knife through butter. A couple of issues I have is the chick not being stressed enough or being stressed and staying in place. I have often found the cartridge to come loose and the bit to fall out or get stuck. For a $180 drill or whatever it costs, it shouldn't have that problem. Everyone is like this, I had 4โ€ฆ

Pros
  • KEYLESS METAL CHUCK: Provides secure bit retention and easy bit replacement
Cons
  • weak
