Not suitable for 2006 Cadillac CTS; Cable too long

I ordered this to fit an aftermarket radio for my 2006 Cadillac CTS and it didn't fit. Luckily I got a refund for this; The description should be updated to reflect this. Another thing I noticed is that the wires coming out of the connectors are too long. You have to shave so many wires that you might as well connect a radio wiring harness to a real car wiring harness. I'm sure it would have worked on another GM car, but it didn't work on my car.

Not for all models listed - Not for 2006 Cadillac CTS Base with U66 Radio

I spent over $20 on it, at least I didn't spend more on a new one. The Revain manual (and the Metra manual in part) says it will fit a 2006 Cadillac CTS without a Bose system, but it only seems to fit the models that *have* a Bose amp (option U57 ). Metra's own guidebook is also conflicting, listing 2003-07 models first, then only 2003-04 models on the man page. My base U66 machine used different forks that were not compatible. Unfortunately I had already cut the wire harness for my application

Do not cut factory wires!

I ordered an amp bypass in my '03 Devil. Saves you from having to cut/splice the factory output wiring and saves you the hassle if you ever later decide to remove and/or sell your vehicle. The only problem is that they assume you're going to plug this into your head unit to boost your speakers. Most connect to the back of the amp, so the cables are very long. Not a bad thing (longer is better than shorter) but just make sure you trim it down to what you need with just a little play in case you…

Plugs right in but needs more pins

Plugs in in place of the stock amp on my 2003 Suburban with a Bose non-LUX amp (UQ7 without Y91). I will be getting audio from the same jack as I still have a factory head unit so it needs a different set of pins on the big jack. As others have said, it contains a ridiculous amount of wires, but I don't see that as a problem. I'd rather have too much than too little and just cut off the excess. It was clear from the photo that it only had output contacts and no inputs, but it would still have…

Great but you need to know what you are doing

Bought for my Hummer H2 03. Fit is perfect, wires are long enough, all copper wires are good gauge. The wires took the solder very well. This kit has received many unfair bad reviews. GM changed the pinouts on these Bose amps as often as most people change their underwear. There will be many variations from year to year and model to model. I found the correct schematic for my amp online and used that information to determine how to use this connector for my application, changing the appropriate

He does what he has to do. The buyer must understand what he is buying.

This harness does exactly what it was designed to do. No more and no less. The bad reviews are because people think it's something it's not. This is NOT an aftermarket stereo install harness. This harness is only used to bypass the factory amp. To be used in conjunction with another harness for power etc. It has 2 connectors. These plugs need to be connected to the 2 plugs that normally go straight into the factory amp (on the factory amp, NOT behind the radio. The Silverado amp is under the…
