First of all, from a cosmetic point of view this is an excellent product. Qualitatively, it's exactly what you'd expect from the Metra - it gives to a point, but then breaks if you're not careful. The real problem is with your stock dash - you'll need to carefully pry the tabs out with an upholstery puller. At this point, your dashboard is old and fragile, so take your time. Installed on a 2005 Ram 2500 with 5.7 Hemi. in the hyphen. (Also cut out the top plastic cover that covers the radio so I have some extra room to route wires and adjust the radio. The brackets that come with this kit are great, make sure you use the screws that come with it came with the new head unit so you don't damage the radio (long screws and banging on the innards) the only problem I have is that the hole for the radio is about 2mm smaller I can't mount my radio vertically (top to bottom)

I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT and this kit fitted perfectly and was relatively easy to install. I recommend carefully piercing the plastic welds on the original bezel with a 1/4" drill bit so you can easily remove the original bezel without damaging the rest of the plastic assembly.
