Ideal for aftermarket installations

Ideal for aftermarket installations. Before installation, it's better to tidy up all the standard wiring and this wire harness as it occupies a neat place behind the dashboard.

Pros
  • Provides NAV outputs - parking brake, reverse and speed sensor
Cons
  • Interchangeable

2012 Suburban Pioneer avh-w4400nex install

Works fine. But there are few directions. However, after 45 minutes of waiting, everything in the company worked. Nearly. I couldn't get my RAP power supply to work properly with the CAN bus system in my 2012 Suburban. It took 24 hours of normal driving and cycling to get it working properly but even the support team couldn't figure it out.

Pros
  • Maintains steering wheel audio controls
Cons
  • Some bugs

Not an easy task, suitable for automobiles and automotive electronics

A very difficult system to install, especially when trying to install an Asian Android head unit. The steering wheel controls or the rear view camera cannot be made to work. I don't use Navi or OnStar so I can't confirm how they work or if they work. I'm glad the factory amp and all speakers are working, but I'm very disappointed that the rear camera isn't working. I'll double check everything a later day to find out.

Pros
  • Provides additional power supply (12V, 10A)
Cons
  • So far so good

Not everything is that difficult.

This was my first install. So a lot of trial and error. I used it on a 2007 GMC Yukon XL 1500 SLT. If your car has an amp, don't use resistors to cut the purple wires, you can do the same with the grey/white wires. CUT and solder if you don't have an amp. That amazed me. All my calls/signals work. Android Auto is awesome. I didn't hook up my rear entertainment screen or star because I never use them, but I guess it won't be that hard. All the buttons on the steering wheel also work. I would…

Pros
  • Saves calls
Cons
  • Doubtful
