Just what I need. With the addition of wired internet, the Fire Stick works very well. The presence of two USB 2.0 ports supports additional devices such as a keyboard and mouse, which allows you to use the device to surf the Internet. If it had a USB 3.0 for an additional drive or SSD, that would be even better.

This lets me connect a flash memory card to my Fire TV Cube, which is good, but I was sure I could use it to connect an external hard drive, which is what I really wanted , and it doesn't work. I always have to turn on my laptop when I want to watch shows or movies that I have stored on my external drives so that I can access them with VLC player over my home network. I was hoping to avoid this by using it to connect the drive directly to my Cube, but was disappointed again.

Unfortunately this socket overheats even when not under load. This causes my 4k firestick to keep restarting. I went back to the power supply that came with my flash drive and found that the cheap design of this product was too much to blame. I really wanted this to work so this is a real disappointment.

I wanted to add storage to my Fire TV Cube (2nd Gen) while also connecting to Ethernet. This OTG cable made both easy. I simply plugged the OTB cable into the Fire TV Cube's micro-USB port, then the ethernet cable into the ethernet OTG port, and the 64GB SanDisk USB drive into one of the three USB ports connected to the OTG cable. I need to add a wired Eth connection to my Echo Cube. I use fios at home and the wifi on the router they provide is not great. I switched to a different router, but then the set top boxes stopped working. Steaming works much better now after I plug it in. No more delays.

I think this is the perfect companion for Raspberry Pi Zero (no wifi). It works with every image I've tried. I get just under 6 Mbps (50 Mbps). It has a hub for more USB sockets. It also powers the Pi, so you only need one connection. I have two and they have different MAC addresses. It gets a little warm, but not that much. other USB devices are connected. You must set "Network Waiting" before the download is complete. Or just disconnect and reconnect.

This product is rated 3 stars because it only works with the Fire Stick 4K version. Other versions experience too many frequent reboots. I've tested this on many devices with the same results, so you can't tell me it was my device.
