Material quality is good

They were installed instead of down tube rear derailleurs. They seem to work well but not as smoothly as Shimano. It was difficult to route the brake cable through the lever hole.

Cheaper than Microsoft or Shimano and durable

I didn't want to pay more than a hundred dollars for Shimano so I took a chance. You have two levers, one for upshifting and one for downshifting. Can be controlled from the hood or in normal mode. Very easy to install although you will have to reuse the brake cables. At the same time, consider replacing the core tape. I am very happy with the aluminum construction. I needed an exact replacement for my 3x8 shifters on my 2015 Cross-Rip. After 22,000 miles, the right derailleur could no longer keep the derailleur steady. I didn't want to pay for Shimano, and I don't like how the new Claris places shifter cables under the bar tape. These are not exact replacements. You'll have to relearn how to shift and brake, but it doesn't take long. It is easiest to work with them from the hood. The index finger is shifted to a smaller cog or pinion and the middle finger

Pros
  • Dual Control 8 Speed Shifters
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
