I needed to use this for my remote classes. The video quality is excellent. Only beef with bracket. Mine may be defective somehow, but basically it seems there isn't a spring on the clip meant to hold it against the monitor. It just rests on the monitor, and when the monitor or USB cable is pushed, it immediately flops. Yes, my office is a mess.

Pure junk. The first photo could change every few minutes, most of the time it was just a frame. You returned my money. The second worked fine for 6 weeks so I couldn't get my money back. Then I realized that both were the same SEPTEKON product. In the end, after 2 minutes of use, the second one warmed up and stopped working. Revain's bestseller, Revain sells pure junk with this camera. Why buy junk when you can get a quality product for a few bucks. Or at least go where there is a 90-day…

I'm glad some of the other reviewers had good experiences with this Septekon webcam. My experience wasn't that good. First, the Septekon webcam doesn't attach very securely to my laptop screen. If I bump the laptop lightly, it moves or falls. Secondly, this webcam is advertised as being able to rotate horizontally as well as up and down. But it cannot be rotated horizontally. Compared several webcams and finally chose this one because the Septekon trademark was printed on the product. Compared to other products without a logo, I find this product more authentic and professional. And it really doesn't let me down. True automatic installation. For the price, you probably couldn't do better. The built-in mic isn't terrible, awful, but if the quality of your speech is paramount, you'll need a separate mic. My biggest problem is that the wiring is on the left, my computer is on the right, and the power cord is relatively short. I would also have liked stronger packaging. Make no mistake though: if your needs are limited, this camera is for you!

Edit: After commenting below I was contacted by a Septecon. They provided me with TWO new cameras that did not have the problem described below. I've reset the score to five, but I'll leave the issue below as a possible fix for anyone who might have a Mac.
