Worked for at least a while

I bought this to surface mount and initially it worked great. The lighting could have been a lot better but it worked for what I needed. Then, after not using it for a few weeks, I turned it on and was greeted with a blank screen. The power is turned on, the illuminator lights up, but after that it stops working. It didn't even turn off except via the reset or power off button. I thought maybe the battery was dead so I replaced it and then plugged it back in, but still no luck. Now it's just a…

Incredible picture quality!

We have owned and used a few digital microscopes since 2015 and we like the quality and ease of use for young children. However, I was looking for something more user-friendly but without the need to connect it to a laptop or phone. This microscope with a screen attached has even better image quality than my old ones and gives a clearer image. The camera is extremely easy to use and much nicer and more comfortable for young shaky hands. You can move the subject without distorting the sharpness,

Exceeds my expectations!

The microscope is robust, functional and easy to use. The microscope software is simple and navigating with the buttons on the front of the screen can be a bit fiddly, but I got used to it after a while. It's easy to connect to the Windows 10 camera app and use it instead of the "amcap" software. (I tried the amcap software and it didn't take pictures but videos.)
