I bought this a few days ago and was very excited when it arrived. I read the reviews on Amazon and Reddit and thought I knew what to expect. However, the Alcanter fabric is too dirty for my taste. The Surface 2 was an amazing device. It works well with the docking station and easily connects two monitors. It is powerful, fast and stable. Easily detaches from the travel dock and the battery lasts all day.

The two best things about this laptop are battery life and size. The laptop lasts two school days on a single charge and easily fits in my backpack with everything else. The only problem is there is no USB-C port, a real bummer as I can't use 3rd party dongles, but overall I like this laptop and would definitely recommend it for school. I needed to buy a laptop that could handle my daily work + study. Mostly with Word and opening drives/flash drives. A while. This laptop has broken down so many times that I just can't give it a good review. Although I like the design. The images are just some of the instances where it has crashed 20 times. Also less than a week in use. All updates are confirmed and so far. Failed.

After 1 year. However, I had a problem with the test turning the laptop on and off for a year! I contacted the seller and the guy was so cool. He sent me a new one and didn't ask me to take the time to send the old, bad battery back, which is good because I didn't have to waste time packing it up. COOL GUY. GOOD to deal with. So a few hours ago I turned on this laptop and it turned into a login screen. There is no setup screen at all. And it asks for a password so I can't use my laptop at all. Now I have to send it back and get a new one from somewhere else. Ideal. I never do product reviews so I hope that means something.

I have bought Surface laptops for my company and they always come with Windows 10 Pro S which I simply upgraded to regular Windows 10 Pro. Unfortunately I missed the part that says they come with Windows 10 HOME S. Now I have to buy an upgrade. I feel like it's a "gotcha sucks" moment. Typical Microsoft. Pooh.

My daughter likes this laptop very much. She loves the clarity of the screen and the ease of use. I bought this for my senior year of high school, it's thin and light so she can easily take it to school or home.
