Description of Microsoft Surface Pen Ice Blue

Tilt the tip to artistically shade your drawings — just like you would with a graphite pencil. The rubber eraser on the tail end rubs away your mistakes, just like the eraser on your graphite pencil. Writes like pen on paper, with precision ink on one end that enables tilt1 and a natural-feeling rubber eraser on the other. Sketch, shade, and paint with artistic precision and finer control with 4,096 pressure points that respond to the lightest touch. Ink flows out in real time with no lag or latency. No matter how fast you’re writing or drawing, the ink flows directly from the tip of your Pen to your screen.

Get the Official: Digital Pens

I've had one of the alternative surface pens (because $35-40 are a lot easier to swallow than the $100 I've usually found them for), but they just don't go anywhere in terms of comparisons. The button is populated and supported natively on Surface computers and can be associated with multiple functions. The pen is round with a flat side (sometimes it looks round or hexagonal in the pictures), feels good in the hand and the writing feel is very natural. Other pens I've tried have hard tips and…

Big improvement over my original Surface Book pen

Big improvement over my original Surface Book pen. The new pen is more like writing on paper than on a pane of glass. The increased pen sensitivity works well with a variety of Adobe and art applications. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to improve their writing or drawing experience on their Surface product. I'm patiently waiting for the opportunity to draw with the side of the pen.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Nothing here

lasted two months. - Input devices

Worked beautifully on my surface pro while it was working. I used it in class today while taking notes and the black cap around the gray tip has come loose. It appears to have been used to stabilize the tip for writing. Now the tip just dangles and is almost useless. It still writes but isn't steady anymore and shakes all over the place which makes it seem like I'm writing with Parkinson's. I just bought this July 20th and its October 1st. I don't know if there are replacement tips or if it's…

Much better than imitators

I originally bought a Surface Pen from Bamboo which promised all the same features as the Microsoft version. There was an error. The Microsoft Pen writes, feels, is much more accurate and attaches magnetically to the side of my Surface Book Pro. Worth the extra money compared to generic to get it right.

Best Surface Pen

My third pen in 6 years (older models) - every generation gets better. I like the "double click" to take a picture of something on the screen and then you can write, underline and highlight. anything. I used it in meetings to take notes and then it synced to my One Drive and the notes were available everywhere, even on my Android phone. This is an excellent pen LOVE the "eraser" erases. I've designed dresses, edited documents, it's such a versatile tool.
