The hard way to learn a lesson

I have bought several brands of paper storage containers but these are the worst I have ever bought. They can be fine as long as what you put in is absolutely moisture-free. I mainly use them for freezing chili, braising. etc. After the first spoonful of chili, I could feel the moisture seeping through the container. And they are really thin. I bought these because I had never seen brown containers before, so I decided to give it a try. The reason they are brown is because they have no coating.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

Works well on paper and plastic

I travel for work and I needed something I could pack in the fridge and not get stuck with dirty, smelly, week-old dishes. I've used them for several days and they work well. I noticed that some of the negative reviews said the lid was liquid tight. Basically, it is cardboard made from plant fibers. I don't know of any type of cardboard that is impervious to liquids. Those are just unrealistic expectations. My biggest complaint is that they stack inside each other like disposable cups and stick

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Great for freezer storage

Love them. I cook a lot here in New England during the fall, and these are the perfect containers for storing homemade soups and stews in the freezer that I can then pull out and pop in my husband's lunch bag for work. Some Mason jars break in the freezer, as do some plastics. My husband tends to overheat Tupperware in the microwave until it's melted. With these thick paper disposables, I don't have to worry or wash them. I also use them to keep things in the freezer to warm them up. for later…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
