🔌 16A 125VAC Microwave Oven Door Switch Replacement Part, KW3AT-16, Normally Open - 1 Piece Review

Used this on my 3 year old Frigidaire Microwave. The microwave oven kept shorting out and it turned out to be the door switch. The wife was willing to buy a new one and decided I would try the door switch after trying to find the problem with a multimeter. Very easy replacement of an inexpensive part, saved me a new microwave and took very little time to repair. Nobody thought I could fix it and it was so easy. Also included was a spare door switch.

My microwave broke as soon as I started cooking something. I replaced one of the door latches (after figuring out how to get to the latches and testing them for continuity) and it works now. It still fires when I open the door to pause the cooking, so there are some other issues I haven't solved. But at least I can use the microwave again if I remember to cancel the cooking process before opening the door or waiting for the cooking time to finish.

If I could rate 'NO' in one review I would but it made me vote 1. I received the parts, checked the part with an ohmmeter and it was the right decision. normally closed, installed it and started the microwave and it passed out, the switch. When I opened the door the switch went off and when I checked it with the meter it got stuck in the closed position.
