Good customer service, good function. Looks safe.

It slips and needs to be adjusted just as often as a gate opener if you live in a clay area. If your area is cemented. You don't have to constantly make adjustments. Mine doesn't lock now. I have to call customer service which has been great so far to fix the problem.

Great security tool

The gate locking system added security and stability to our gate system that we lacked without it. During Hurricane Laura, our gates opened almost 2 feet against our opening mechanism. We were very lucky that it didn't get damaged and only had to readjust the limits. Now with a gate lock we don't have to worry about the wind moving our gate or someone pressing it without a code. Good product!

Installation ruined the control board

Installation guide was not friendly at all. The diagram was not clear to connect the wiring to the control board. Also, there was no warning that if you got it wrong the control board would fry. When I called they helped diagnose that the control board was burned out and that the problem was a wiring fault. But then he offered no solution to the problem. Told me it was my fault and she wouldn't cover it. When I asked if I could order a new control board they said they didn't have one.

Low cost, security and convenience

I have a 14 foot gate across from the driveway. The Mighty Mule gate opener left enough wiggle room for my dogs to open enough to squeeze through and escape. After several months of getting in and out of the car to secure the gate with rubber bands, I discovered the MM FM143 gate lock. Installation was easy, although the instructions for the electrical connections could probably have been written more clearly. Now the gate is securely locked with a push of a button on the remote control, which…

Connecting to 371 or 571 series openers

Incredibly poor wiring guide for Mighty Mule TS571W (same as MM571W) - so confusing when it can be that simple. Here's the thing guys, if you have a Mighty Mule opener with terminal blocks as shown in the pictures, YOU DO NOT NEED the included lockout board (small board) or the included red and black wires. You ONLY need the white wire. It's easy: (Disclaimer - my opener is set to PUSH to open. I don't think it makes a difference - see instructions) 1. Turn off your knife2. Connect the RED lock
