Great price but heavier than a consumer router

No complaints. It has an initial setup wizard which is great for home use and has more settings than I'll ever need. However, it is more complicated than a typical consumer router. PoE easily powers my wireless access point, and with my 25/5Mb wired connection, it has more than enough power for a basic firewall, DHCP server, and NAT. Please note this is a 10/100 device only.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

Confusing at first Good for networking products

Mikrotik routers are known for complicated interfaces and menus for laypeople. I found the same thing with this router, which gave itself the IP address 0.0.0.0 and had me banging my head against the wall for days. I was finally able to control it by going to the Neighbors tab in the Mikrotik Winbox software, which eventually found the router by Mac address. Now for the rest of the settings. In general, the device is made structurally sound. It offers reliable PoE power with a dependable power…

Pros
  • Consistent test results

just like any other router card

Because the PoE device does not work. The access point or phone is not receiving power. The router works fine, just like any other router board.

Pros
  • Large bandwidth
Cons
  • Almost everything there

Quick view to download correct images fill in images from routerboard.com. Hopefully I'll update it later. This is a great little router and PoE is very useful for powering other Mikrotik or Ubiquiti products that use 24V PASSIVE PoE. It does not power devices such as phones that require 48V 802.3af PoE or 802.3at PoE+ as standard.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • So far so good

Excellent, true dual radio Mikrotik AP!

The best! If you know what you are doing, there is no more functional and powerful networking device than Mikrotik devices running your rOS!

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • Badly thought out
