"Houdini " is easier to find at night!

I got this collar for my dog Amigo who has been digging in the garden very successfully for the past few weeks - a few times after dark. It doesn't reflect much in low light, but when hit by a flashlight beam it glows quite brightly. (see photo)

  • Easy to assemble

Quality Dog Collar

We got this collar for our new puppy, a 1 year old Ming Pin/Chihuahua mix. He weighs about nine pounds. His neck measures 9 inches and this collar fits him perfectly and is easily adjustable. Reflective strips help us see where it is in our garden, we only carry a small flashlight with us. The color is light and looks very sharp against his black and tan coat. He got used to it straight away, so he should be comfortable.

Nice collar but only slightly reflective. I'm keeping it to myself though - it looks solid, the color (blue) is very nice and medium collars 1" wide are hard to find. I like that the buckle is black instead of silver. The material is strong but not too hard. Would buy it again (Doggy has so much hair on the back of his neck, even the best reflective foil doesn't help)

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Almost never

They come loose and have to be constantly tightened

At first glance they seem quite decent. They are reflective as described BUT I have found I have to constantly tighten them. I bought 2 and both do it. I will get the seat belts anyway, otherwise I would have sent them back. I wouldn't recommend using a leash unless you check the tension before going outside. Check for leaks along the way, too, or you'll be just a squirrel away from a free-ranging pup. I wouldn't buy for anything other than keeping their tag.

Pros
  • Decent work
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Good but not great collars

I bought red and blue collars for my dogs. One weighs 30 pounds and the other 35. I had to go for the small size, which surprised me a little. The problem with the small size is that it's narrow. It would be great for a dachshund, but not a beagle, but a beagle, something else. The reflective strips are also very narrow, but they are effective. They are easy to put on and take off and usually, but not always, stay in the mood. When the dogs applied a lot of pulling force, they loosened a little

Good quality, reflects well.

I agree with another reviewer who said it doesn't reflect that well in low light. I don't think it will bounce off a car headlight unless close enough or using bright light. At night, my border collie likes to sneak up on neighbors and poop in their yard. Well, who's wrong? ;D Anyway, for some reason he only does it at night and during the day he goes to our forest. I can follow him with a bright flashlight and stop him. I'm impressed with the quality. The clasp is strong and not yet broken…

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Useless features

Fits well but not reflective enough

Perfect size for a little pup but I still couldn't see this little guy in the dark! You know how it works. "I know it's 12:30 but I have to go potty!" So, like a good mom, you take them outside, in your nightgown, through the wet grass, all the nocturnal creatures that are out too (maybe not, but you just watched "I Was the Prey" tonight). This cute pup is doing his thing and BAM! He is gone! Runs around like a wild animal asking you to hunt him down! If you knew exactly where he went! MY GOD…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Expensive

Very thin, cheaply made. Maybe good for a cat or a chihuahua.

Just opened it up and was shocked at how thin and flimsy it is. Nylon looks much wider and stronger in the photos. It also gives the impression that it is a double layer of nylon sewn together. It's a sheet of thin, narrow nylon that looks more like a cat collar than a dog collar. I am 11-17 inches tall. A dog with a neck this size needs a stronger nylon, and it should be wider. The proportions do not match the photo. Not only that, but when the collar is set at say 16 inches, the proportions…

Make sure it's fully closed

Looks good, feels very durable and was a great collar for our 65lb thick necked German Shepherd. The reflective threads work great, making us feel safer when walking at night so we can see cars and making it easier to spot him running down the street at night. The only minor issue is that sometimes it looks like it's securely fastened and holding, but one side doesn't really fully seat and it will immediately disengage from you if you pull hard on something, which is usually the exact moment in

Pros
  • Test results are stable

  • Nothing here
