The leaks everyone warned about.

I was hoping to get a good one but it didn't work out. This leaks around the exhaust valve. I could fix it, but why fix something new out of the box. Shame on Milton for such crappy quality control. I will be using Milton fittings and hoses but no longer gauges and air pumps.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I won't say anything

pleasure in use. Excellent pressure gauge with precise pressure setting.

Do you stop pumping up your tires to check the pressure and see that they are over-inflated? There is no problem with this pressure gauge, just use the bleed button to reduce the pressure. This is Milton, designed for ease of use and quality that lasts. The sensor is clear and magnified, so accurate.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Excellent quality pressure gauge

Excellent quality pressure gauge. It is accurate to the pound compared to my other gauges. sometimes the "valve stem lock" function is activated. never mind. I wish it would have held pressure when not connected to the air hose so I could use it like my other Milton gauge and just walk around and check tire pressure without dragging the hose around. otherwise it's great.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • No power

Check your purchase immediately or buy on site.

I am disappointed. I figured I was buying an American made product that would be of high quality. It seemed to work great for the first six tires I used it on. Then the head started letting in so much air that my compressor couldn't get any further. Since it sat in my garage for 2 months before I used it, the "return period" has expired. I'm sorry but I want my money back.

Pros
  • Sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Long delivery

Well worth it, feels like a quality tool

Just got my Milton inflator and so far I love it. It doesn't feel cheap or prone to breakage. Feels like a quality tool in hand. The deflation button leaked when I first tried it, but after tightening it with a socket wrench, the o-ring shrunk and the leak stopped. I don't write reviews often anymore, but this tool deserves a good rating. I will update if I encounter any problems.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Fits

Milton 501 high pressure gauge with 5ft hose.

This is a much more professional gauge than I'm used to. And I just turned 65, so I've used a few. The extended 5 inch hose is a bit overkill for ME. I see that in my double RV, for example, when I check the air, especially on the inner twin wheels. The gauge seems fairly accurate, but it's not perfect. I set all the tires to EXACTLY the same pressure on the gauge or as accurate as I can and they still seem about 1+# or more apart. Not really a big deal as long as they're within a pound or so…

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Reliable, American-made product

In short, my Milton inflator/gauge is exactly what I expected - no surprises. It grabs my inner and outer dual valve stems and stays on until I want it to break free. The sensor is accurate and easy to read thanks to the "hairline" display. Milton is one of those old American companies that was always doing and figuring out these things. You pay a decent amount more than you would at any of the offshore tool shops, but you don't have to replace it every year. I have another similar device for…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion

I received a faulty dual headed cartridge, not only was it leaking it blew to full capacity and had to be replaced. Instead of sending it back to Revain I contacted Milton Industries support and spoke to Carlos R. who attempted to resolve the issue by sending me two more dual head cartridges which should have fixed the issue. Surprisingly, both also went through the air at full power. On June 10th I emailed Carlos who did not reply to my email. I then contacted them by phone and was told they…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Quality control must have been during the coffee break.

When I received the product, upon initial inspection I found it to be of good quality and sound. On first use, air leaked from the opposite tip of the one being used, so more air came out than went in. I decided to explore. How to fix/repair the problem. Disassemble the handpiece by unscrewing it. Inside, carefully remove the first seat washer that rests against the valve stem. Then remove the brass seat. A little force may then be required to remove the solid rubber ball. However, this can…

Pros
  • This is great

  • Some bugs
