Just what I needed for tire changers

I needed to replace the air liner on my small portable compressor and I needed one that would snap onto the stem and not come loose like my old one. It fits and works great. I added a brass hose fitting and installed it on my compressor's original air line. It works great and makes life a lot easier.

Pros
  • Pretty package
Cons
  • Empty

I would recommend this air chuck to a friend

I've tried many locking air chucks but the Milton beats them all, even with dual clamps. This air cartridge will even work with valve stems that have rubber at the top of the stem where many others don't. It also doesn't damage the threads on the stem and is held on the stem with no pressure.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Modern

Great product in the accessories and parts section

I have several pieces of equipment that require fairly high tire pressures, my dump truck requires over 120kg, my double requires 100kg and mine excavator requires 70lbs for the steer tires and 90 pounds for the drive tires. This product has helped me no longer having to sit and hold an air liner while inflating my tires. I can buckle it up and step back and look at the pressure gauge.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Bad design is good for tire changers

Okay, it works. As long as you have access to the valve to fix it. The locking lever is long and tall, and protrudes at a 45-degree angle, making it difficult to mount on a valve stem that will be pressed close to the wheel. I've seen other designs where the stop lever is much smaller and moves along the shaft; do not protrude and require as much clearance to use. I'm not sending back, but I removed and installed the old (non-blocking) fill nozzle. Tired of fighting my Ford F150 wheels to use…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Not the best design for smaller valve stems

That might be fine for long valve stems with lots of wheel clearance, but it sucks for valve stems on regular cars. Regular cars have valve stems that are about 1.5 inches long and slightly recessed. The lever that locks this cartridge will not allow you to properly install this cartridge onto the valve stem on most vehicles. The quality is good and that's the only reason I gave it two stars, not one. Do yourself a favor and go straight to Chuck and avoid the mistake I made purchasing this…

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • Quality

Disappointing - tire chuck

I needed to replace a worn out air cartridge and decided to spend some money and buy a Milton. I also bought a similar cartridge for about half the price of a Milton. I found the Milton cartridge to work well when it worked. Most often, however, after inflating the tire and removing the cartridge from the valve, air began to flow out of the cartridge. This was due to the gasket not being properly aligned to stop the airflow. It sometimes closed with a thumb press, but usually required deflation

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.
