Anyone who buys an SD should get one of these. These parts are interchangeable with the Tapcon branded SDS bits and the Tapcon driver installation tool. The hex shank on the bits and the chuck adapter on the setting tool are the same size, allowing the sleeve to slide over both.
Drill bits (made in Germany), screwdriver bits and pouch are well made and fit accurately and well. However, the case I received (from another site) had a serious defect. The hole that allows the SDS bit to go through and lock together was missing. Luckily I was able to fix the bushing by drilling a hole in the screwdriver with a 7/32" bit.
Works great! It's a bit awkward turning screws with a full-size impact drill when you're trying to get the head into the 'socket' first and then hammer it in. In any case, it makes sense to screw them a few turns into the pre-drilled holes by hand and then drive them in. These are new tools to me, so maybe that's how they should be used. idk The bits themselves quickly stuck into the concrete blocks where I installed the cameras.
