Big! but a better case is needed.

they are great! The thing is kind of lame. The bits don't stay in my toolbox very well. Every time I open it they are everywhere

Pros
  • industrial drill
Cons
  • you could choose a newer model

Blunt very quickly

When cutting, they cut surprisingly well compared to twist drills. Very quick and gentle opening. With lots of tap and die lubricant, the workpiece clamped and constant pressure, these things only held a few holes in regular mild steel. Maybe I'm missing something or just have an unusually bad set, but they are literally blunt to about 3 holes in 1/2 steel.

Pros
  • ring drills
Cons
  • disappear

Ring cutters are great

These cutters are really good - drilling big holes in mild steel is tedious work but fun to use. These aren't drills, they're more like milling cutters, but they're hollow. Large holes can be drilled very easily and quickly with a milling cutter or a drill. I believe the work must be securely fastened or there is a risk of it being damaged. I will never go back to regular bits larger than 3/8 inch.

Pros
  • Cutting tools
Cons
  • New competitors are here
