Minoura cage holder easy to install

I hung the Minoura cage holder on the back of a recumbent seat. It is very easy to install. I plan to use it to hold a bottle of AirZound horn. When, like in this case, I don't need to access the bottle holder while sitting in the seat it works fine, but as a water bottle holder it doesn't work for me as I can't reach it easily. Other cage holders stick out further from the frame and are easier to reach from my recumbent seat.

Good for what he does. Probably the best clip design for any bike part.

Minoura engineers came up with a clip. It is fully adjustable to a variety of handlebar sizes. It's not really a clamp and release mechanism, because to hold a full water bottle, you first have to bring it closer, clamp, and then tighten the hex nut. Then he doesn't move. But no other clamp I've seen was as well designed. Minoura also makes a staggered version. So if you want the bottle to fit in the middle of the handlebar, look for that. Same price, same clamp style.

PERFECT and VERY SMART!

This little bike accessory is PERFECT! I ride a women's bike and didn't want to add a water bottle holder to the main frame as it would interfere with getting on and off the bike. This thing is really smart as you can either mount it on the handlebars or rotate and attach it to the center bar that holds the handlebars. I attached mine to the center pole with the side of the bottle facing to the right, allowing me to easily reach for water with my right hand. It's pretty well made and very easy…

Not as good as reviews say

The product description is correct it doesn't attach anywhere other than the steering wheel. All other bicycle tubes are too big and don't fit. What you need to know is that this clip makes the bottle cage about 1.25 inches from the stem. When you add the cage you're talking about something that sticks out very far (it would be nice to mount it on a down tube, but doesn't work very well on a handlebar or stem. The second downside is that it won't be enough to keep the clamp from rotating (I…

  • Out of fashion

Please note before proceeding. This clamp, like many of Minor's metal clamps, is available in two sizes to accommodate the different diameters of pipe you may need. I use both sizes on my Terra Trike. Don't assume anything, measure your tube that you want to mount on your bike. Bike manufacturers don't have a standard when it comes to tube sizes. For example, not all seat posts have the same diameter. Or not all rudders have the same diameter. If in doubt, measure! Other than that, I can't say…
