Heavy, doesn't go well with Adamo saddles

Wanted a cheap single bottle mount for my bike. I couldn't find the weight anywhere but decided to give it a try. It's quite heavy (80g) but I still decided to install it on the saddle. No matter what I've done in terms of flexing (using a vise) and leaning, it doesn't work with my Adamo saddle. This mount might be good for seats with shorter tails, but not for me. Also, the shipping was ridiculously slow.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • Small things

Not universal, at an odd angle, didn't fit.

Love how it's dropped 30% in a week but apart from the cover it didn't fit my seat at all. I have springs on my seat which I even removed to fix it to install, but even that does not help. The screws should have been longer and the part where the bottle cage attaches should have been tilted/pulled out more. At the moment, that makes it completely unusable for me. Warning, not a universal bottle cage mount, it fits some but not two of my bikes.

Sturdy, works well, best in sports

mount is solid and well made. The only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 is that I had to make an adapter mount for it because it doesn't fit a Brooks saddle and it doesn't say that in the product description. The handrails of the Brooks are wider than those of the "normal" saddle. If I were to use it on an old saddle that Brooks replaced it would snap instantly. Overall a good product, it works well and the cages are bolted to it with no modifications.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • easy to repair

Seriously disappointed

This product looks like it would do the job of mounting a bottle cage behind the saddle but if you're like me, one of the many people who own a Brooks ride saddle. Spring. Keep searching. The supports that attach the Minoura Saddle bottle cage to the seat stays are simply too short. The mount, no matter how tight, releases easily in your hand with a slight twist - not unlike the twist you might expect when hitting a bump in the road. If the racks were at least an inch longer, then everythingโ€ฆ

Verified by Ironman Texas!

Holds up great on a 112 mile Ironman Texas bike with a gusset bag in front and two spare tubes attached to the back of each shoulder. The angle of the arms was comfortable for me and didn't let the bottles bang against my back (the more upright position also probably prevented bottles from being dropped on bumps, but looks like you can get them to turn the angle down a bit change if necessary). I could easily reach the bottles on the back to refill my main bottle between the aero bars and spray

Easy to install, looks great and works great

Love this addition to my long (half and full Ironman) bike in addition to my two frame cages. Very easy to put on. You simply remove the metal plate, slide it over the seatposts, and then mount the bracket with two screws. I use this with two Ibera cells that I bought from Revain and they come with two 20oz bottles of Camelbak (also from Revain of course) for extra hydration. You can lower or raise the mount a bit, but the bottles won't get in the way of your seat. I don't even know they'reโ€ฆ

I haven't had any problems so far

This product used to consume a lot of heat as a "bottle ejector" but I've never experienced anything like it. Okay, I'll admit when I jumped the curb BOTH bottles went off at the same time as the rear wheel hit the curb, but that was the only time and the circumstances were unusual. I laughed heartily, invited her over again and went on my way. It's well built, a bit heavy for a hardcore set, but easy to set up and use. I've ridden them a few hundred miles and had no issues with them slippingโ€ฆ

Convenient and easy to assemble

What you get: Cage bracket 2 long bolts 4 short bolts 2 lock washers Wrench Instructions After you have removed all your gear from the box, place the bracket behind the saddle rails. After placing the lock washers on the two long screws, you can use the included hex wrench to install the cage mount to the bracket. Be sure to orient the screw properly to avoid twisting the threads. The 4 shorter bolts are for frames that are not included in the mounting kit, so be prepared to buy a set if youโ€ฆ
