The Clayton packaging is NO problem

After receiving 3 boxes of these discs in the Clayton packaging and reading other reviews here I contacted Clayton directly. They confirmed that they are a partner of Mirka and supply materials for the aerospace and military industries. They buy Mirka material in large rolls and cut the slices themselves. So there's no need to worry about authenticity if Clayton is on the box and Mirka is on the discs.

Pros
  • 5 inch Material Removal and Finishing Disc
Cons
  • Damaged

Mirka Abranet is the best at Power Sander Parts & Accessories

Abranet definitely lasts longer than traditional random orbital sanding discs. This is the only grinding wheel I currently use. For those of you who are wondering or curious: I bought a large Autonet box for comparison. My observations: Use Abranet for wood sanding. Autonet doesn't last that long in a tree. You'll also need to connect to a dust collector to get the full benefit of Abranet, otherwise grinding dust will be scattered everywhere like any other grinding wheel.

Pros
  • Screen-like compound allows dust to penetrate straight through the abrasive preventing clogging
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged

Efficient grinding, but may damage the grinder.

The grinding grid grinds the surface perfectly and the dust pick-up on my Festool grinding machine with Abranet discs is excellent. But it also does an excellent job when grinding Velcro hooks on the grinding pad. After approx. 5 hours of grinding, the hooks on the plate no longer get caught in the loops on the discs. Now I need to replace the pad on my grinder so that's my only criticism of this product. To prevent this there is a wear pad - be sure to check that out if you plan to use this…

Pros
  • 50 discs per box
Cons
  • Without automatic grinding
