More aggressive than expected

The Abranet abrasive was much more aggressive than the grinding wheels. Dust extraction, on the other hand, is excellent due to the porous surface. Use them with caution!

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Weight

Great range over traditional discs

I use these abrasives on a Festool pad sander. Works very well and provides a smooth, even finish. Long lasting as they stay clean. I like them better than conventional grinding wheels. There will be other grains.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Not worth the deal.

The net holds up well, but the abrasive is short-lived. I have to use three times more discs than I can buy at Home Depot. I think you get what you pay for and it's not worth the price when you find out how much to use.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Great product Poor order fulfillment Revain

Great product, excellent sharpening, less stress. I use them for turning wooden bowls BUT this is the 3rd time I order 80 grit and get 400 grit. This time I received a 400 grit box with the lid of the 80 grit box torn off and it says 80.

Pros
  • Very good quality
Cons
  • Some issues

Abranet is the best

Mirka Abranet is without a doubt the best "sandpaper". Whether on my CEROS or a manual lathe, this tool works amazingly well. It does not clog as easily as other competing products and heat build-up is kept to a minimum.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

If you have Mirka Sander, buy Mirka Paper

For Mirka sanders, this is the best sandpaper you can buy. Breathes well for good suction. Right grit, perfect fit, won't stick together quickly. However, he likes to vomit on sharp edges. Use a minimum of 120 grit for initial edging and 220 grit for finishing.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Excellent product with exceptional results

These discs work great with my Mirka CEROS grinder. Heat dissipation is lower than traditional discs. My only comment, and this applies to all Abranet discs, is that they tear at the edges faster than regular discs. This can be limited with care.

Pros
  • Consistent results when tested
Cons
  • Can't remember but something happened

That is amazing. When you add this to a Mirka grinder, it means .

This thing is amazing. Add this to a Mirka grinder and it means virtually dust-free grinding. Obviously, no sanding operation is ever going to be truly dust-free, but this stuff is right there. You really have to watch what you're doing as the lack of dust makes it seem like the pads won't work, but before you know it you're punching through the veneer or ending up with a rounded corner. I recommend abranet abrasives for both woodworking and turning, as the sanding dust is practically not…

Pros
  • good thing
