Mirkit USB FTDI Programming Cable Model 3 Black For Flashing Analogue Ham Radio: Baofeng Review

I have tried this cable on both PC and Mac. I downloaded the latest version of Chirp and made sure I installed the correct drivers. Nothing yet. In the FAQ for this product, there are several instances where the seller says "Contact us" for help, but he has no information on how to do that and I can't see the real website of his company Find. This is very frustrating.

I am using this cable to connect my BTech UV-5X3 Tri-Band portable radio to an Apple MackBook Pro. It works perfectly. The built-in authentic FTDI chip is the key to a true plug and play experience. Cheaper cables with clone chips may or may not work, but they are difficult to use and require manual installation of drivers and patches for the computer's operating system. This cable requires none of that. Just plug it in and you're ready to program your radio. Thank you Mirkit!

There's been a lot of confusion and frustration with programming cables, but this one just works! It also has two LEDs that indicate when data is being sent and received, helping to ensure that the cable is properly installed and working both ways. Reasonable price and great effect! When new radio amateurs ask me which cable to buy, I send them a link to that product. It arrived on time and worked - great! One thought less when programming the radio.

I spent an hour trying to figure out why my windows 10 doesn't recognize the cable. Then I found a site where you can download the FTDI drivers. If you're not tech savvy, you'll need help installing it. They said that no drivers are required and that they will be installed automatically. Well, false advertising.
