I bought this humidifier to replace an old humidifier I took from a target that seemed to have mold on it, although I cleaned it constantly. What attracted me to this humidifier is that it is easy to clean! I didn't have high hopes and was shocked by how easy it is to clean and dry. It makes very little noise and maintains a comfortable humidity level in my bedroom. It was so good I bought another one where I keep my tropical plants. Excellent purchase.

I did a lot of research before getting this as I'm afraid of the pink mold and bad swamp water smell you can get from unclean humidifiers, but this is excellent . It is very easy to disassemble and clean all parts. You really can't hear everything with the silencer on (plus for some, minus for others who like white noise). For nebulizing while sleeping. I use what Miro calls silencers, which also direct the mist and control the air intake. Everything converges/disconnects. Tools are not required. It's very easy to deep clean all non-electronic components, which is almost everything. The smoke machine is easy to clean with a Clorox cloth. The style is Modern/Mid-Century, which happens to be our style, but that's a matter of taste. I can't comment on reliability as it has had limited use.
