Easy to install on ND2

Very easy to install on my 21 year old ND2. It is better if you remove the upper hose and stabilizer bar. It's difficult to reach the engine, but once you feel it, you're good to go. I had an endoscope to help check, but it was totally unnecessary.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • boring packaging

Keep your engine clean

Tailored hoses and fittings can appear high quality. The hardware is plastic but appears to be of decent quality. Blind installation possible without dismantling the intake manifold (thin brackets required). I shorted the hose ends on the engine as using clamps with the intake on is not possible. Everything else received normal clamps in the kit. In almost a month and 400 miles I haven't noticed any oil smell or leaks.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Minor problems

Great product that looks like the original

This is the best catch can you can find. This particular version is not universal, it is specific to the ND Miata. This is a killer feature of this trap, once installed no one will think this is anything other than a drain. However, remember that without removing the intake manifold, this is a tricky install. If you have smaller hands it probably isn't that bad, but remember you're blinding all hose connections. I would say it's a three on a scale of one to five. If you're a little savvy then…

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • No instructions

Fits perfectly, instructions and videos are missing.

Looks like an OEM in the engine bay, some parts have been changed to aluminum from the original version. There is a noticeably larger end that goes to the block and intake manifold. I have a 2020 GT so I got the racquet brace, I removed the driver's side and center bar and brake booster rubber vacuum hose and had enough room to put my hand back in to tighten it. The OE part is press fitted, if you don't have an FI you don't need to press this end. I have no smell of oil and have not yet come to

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Fits
