If you have an older model; as in 2015, this new filter does not fit. older model; You need to make sure that there is a larger (cent size) hole in the center after unscrewing the cap. The newer models have a small hole (see picture) that won't fit your Samsung fridge when you try to latch it. I don't know what year they changed the filter but I would double check. I had to order directly from Samsung as I don't know where they sell older filters.

I always seem to have problems with Samsung OEM filters, they clog or stop working after the first month . I've tried a few other brands in the past and actually threw them away after a few weeks. The new filter fits well, the water tastes good and no longer leaks.
