Super quality worthy of its name and money

Comes with certificate and in a Mitutoyo box. Wrapped in plain anti-rust paper in a plastic bag. Lightly oiled. High precision lives up to the Mitutoyo name. Both sides are highly polished. Amazing and amazing quality.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Great price

Not all pages can be accurate

I bought a 30mm x 9mm x 3mm block expecting to be able to test the accuracy of my Mitutoyo calipers (500-196-30). The 3mm side was in place. exactly 3.00 mm. But the 30th and 9th pages of this block were turned off. 29.94 and 8.88. Apparently only the 3mm side is checked and the block actually has the number "3" stamped on it. So I'm not sure if the other sides of the block should be exactly 30:00 and 9:00 or if my calipers are off.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Crumpled

Great gauge block for workshops

These great gauge blocks. I use them to test my mics, calipers and calipers. Only the nominal length is calibrated. Class AS-1 means they are calibrated to plus or minus 0.2 microns. The rule of thumb is to use a gauge block that is 10 times more accurate than the instrument you will be using to check. In this case, the AC-1 brand is enough to check my micrometer with a resolution of 0.002 mm. NIST has a good gage block manual available for download at http://www.nist.gov/caulibrations/upload/mo…

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
