MKS 🚲 FD-7 Foldable Bike Pedals Review

Elegant design and very durable. They just won't work for me because of the arthritis in my hands. They are very difficult to use. Chinese fakes are easier for me (read what is possible) to use. Have to send it back :-(

took a while to arrive not bad overall quality but fair warning this particular type of pedal is tricky to install the picture shown leads you to think it is a type simple screw is assembly, in truth it requires an Allen key and there's a good chance it won't just fit any type of crank, you can easily pull the pieces off during assembly. overall weird design that could be bad design

ok i can see how they can break if you are a strong rider and push hard on the outer nylon part of the pedal. but for me I don't see it happening. For as long as I can remember, I've had cuts on my leg from cycling. no longer. They don't like sand and sand, but who does? lol they make the bike more compact even if you're just walking through the crowd. I have them on both bikes.

I purchased this item expecting years of trouble free ownership as it had great reviews and was made in Japan. I'm disappointed after only using it 3 times. One of my pedals stopped working. The button that needs to be pressed to start folding still works and I can feel the spring pressure when I press it, but the pedal just won't fold. There is no visible way to open the pedal for service or see why it is no longer working. My purchase has passed the return window or I would have sent them…

I bought these pedals twice. Once in 2016 and again 6 months ago (2/2021). The first pair lasted 5 years until I broke my pedal while riding across the Williamsburg Bridge in Brooklyn. My last pair only lasted 6 months, this time they broke in Manhattan (on level ground crossing avenues). I would not (in good faith) recommend these pedals to anyone serious about city cycling.
