🔍 Enhance Precision and Versatility with MLCS 9270H 5 Inch Forstner Extender Review

I got this for making pepper mills on my wood lathe and after a bit of work it works great. My Forstner bits didn't fit in when I first got it. Turns out there are little bits of metal sticking out in the screw holes that prevent anything from slipping all the way through. When sandpaper didn't work I used a 3/8" metal drill bit to clean the inside with some cutting oil. After that it works as advertised!

The bit extension processing was good but after that this product is nothing but junk. It was weird That an Allen key was not included with the product, but I immediately understood why. I tried two different sets of metric and US hex keys, but nothing matched the set screws that came with the extension. I ended up with the holes for the set screws retapped to 1/4-28 thread size, then installed US made 1/4-28 screws. Extension works after modifications. Another poor quality product from China.

I needed this to finish my pepper mill. The extension cord is high quality, durable and solid. Works perfectly, without stuttering. The shank is a 3/8" hex. The internal size of the bit holder is 3/8" with two allen screws (3mm wrench not included).
