Moen 113173 Mounting Hardware Kit Review

Our counter installer ruined the sink cutting stainless steel with a quartz nozzle. Damage to the bottom of the sink prevented the faucet from staying in place. It weakened every 10-14 days. This set came in and saved the day when the large piece got stuck on the bottom of the sink and held the faucet in place for a good 2 months with nothing loosening.

I'm not sure if it's necessary to say we like it as five stars mean it but it did the job. There are a few items in the pack that we don't need, but I'm sure we'll find something related to them. Or, more likely, they'll end up in a trash can and be thrown away in five years because no one knows where they're going or why they were even bought. In any case, the crane is now good and stable with the necessary parts.

This is a universal mounting kit for Moen facets. One downside - there is no LOCK DISC. This is the same set I already had. My bevel will come loose after a few months and I bought it hoping it would come with a lock washer. I lost the one on my current Moen aspect. I was able to use one of the nuts to make a lock nut out of it, but looking at this kit it will do the same thing. Your edge will weaken over time. I'm a big person and crawling under the sink is a pain in the ass!

Kit includes two different nuts to fit any Moen faucet stem. Absolutely essential and does not come with the faucets they sell as Moen shows how to install faucets with this kit on YouTube. Instead of a plastic Moen wrench, I used a 27/32 metal wrench to remove the $6 bathtub and shower valves at Home Depot and tightened the faucet stem nut much more tightly.
