CHECK YOUR WASHING MACHINE! well suited for kitchen and bathroom fittings

My original started leaking a year ago so I ordered this replacement part. Worked great for a year. There's nothing wrong with changing every year. Maybe I've abused a lot, so I'll explain. I almost gave it a star because my replacement "leaked". Then I remembered the physics and realized that the gasket is just for the ball joint, not the plastic around it. So you need to make sure you have a WASHER between the hose and the faucet. This is a great replacement and I will order again if this one

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.

It works. Ignore the negative comments

If the ball joint leaks, it will fix you. Remember to carefully remove the strainer/washer from the old hose and insert it into the new hose. It's easier to remove the weight of the hose and remove the hose by pulling on the end of the faucet. Pay attention to the hose release mechanism. sometimes it's the button you push. Other designs have used white plastic tabs that need to be pinched and pressed. This is a very simple fix. Only takes 5 minutes. I think the connection is failing at the…

Don't forget the windshield washer!

This was an exact replacement for the 11 year old hose on my kitchen faucet which over time became brittle and cracked and eventually leaked. After removing the old part and installing a new one, I noticed that a significant amount of water was leaking out of the ball joint where the hose meets the faucet. I noticed that this part does not include a replacement strainer disc (sold separately), but I was able to transfer the old disc from the old hose line. It is like new now and will hopefully…

The hose supplied does not work

This hose will blow water out of the ball joint like crazy until it is properly installed. No direction with hose. The secret is to swap out the washer and mesh on the handle end of the hose. Unfortunately, for reasons only an idiot could imagine, they don't supply a replacement puck and net and tell you to remove the old one, which is an adventure in itself. After installing a new washer and mesh, the hose works perfectly. You buy a replacement hose because it has a leak. Why send a hose that…

Leaks continue - kitchen and bathroom plumbing

the old hose was leaking causing water damage. I was expecting that we would hook up a new hose and it would be all set. It drips a little more, but not that much. I saw other reviews saying the same thing but didn't pay much attention to them. I thought I could install it properly and that was it. I was wrong. There must be a "tolerance problem" in production. Just bad design and if it doesn't fit right you're just SOL. I understand the build quality is not something I've experienced from Moen

DON'T DISCARD YOUR OLD HOSE YET!

OK Let me first say that my problem is not with Revain but with Moen. This is the third hose I have had to replace. because of their stupid design. First time they replaced the entire faucet under warranty with a slightly different and cheaper design which I would have forgone if the unit hadn't broke just before Christmas and the correct replacement hose had been 'out of stock' " " within 3 months! The new head was plastic rather than metal and less ergonomically shaped. The problem is the…
