Requires replacement of original Moen sink plug due to age and discoloration of chrome base ring. Original Moen replacement ordered. It works, looks much better and is very cheap. Of course it was PVC plastic and chrome plated. Only time will tell how long this replacement will last.

The label says Moen and what was received was Moen just not the same product. The old block has a two-piece tail that screws in just above the stop arm hole with a rubber o-ring to seal it. The new one also consists of two parts, but is joined together at the striker plate. Made installation more painful than the original. Works, water drains, does not flow. What else can you say for $7?

Beautiful design with two-piece tail section for easy installation and alignment of the pop-up. However, the product arrived without a gasket for the nylon ball where it mated with the ascending joint stem wing nut cover, resulting in a leak. Luckily I had a neoprene washer that fit into the body of the knurled nut, sealing the fitting and "plugging" the leak. If I couldn't solve this problem with my own equipment, I would return the product.

I wanted the product that is in the photo. The one I got looks like a cheap/generic fake. The one I received has a one piece shaft. The one pictured in the description is in two pieces and unthreaded. I want the part of MOEN that is shown, not this piece of junk. The sticker on the plastic bag it came in reads: Moen. This is clearly not part of moen. The ball joint on what I got isn't even the same size as the Moen drain I'm trying to repair/replace. Is this some kind of scam?

Moen is perhaps the best product on the market today when it comes to faucets and accessories. I urge people using any of these products to follow the installation instructions and stay away from harsh detergents and anything containing acid as they will eat away at the plumbing putty and cause your sink to leak around the drain, and over time the situation will worsen, to the point where your sink will drain faster than you can fill it.
