🛁 Moen DN8486CH Preston Collection Hand Towel Ring: Sleek Polished Chrome Bathroom Accessory Review

We bought our house just over a year ago and we're still updating the little things to personalize it to our liking. We chose the Moen Preston collection because it looks classic compared to the dated style the previous owner installed. I had more trouble removing the old ones than installing these. We needed a towel rail that small children could easily reach after washing their hands, so I installed a Moen DN8486CH Preston Inspirations chrome towel ring. Installation is very easy with an included drill and screw. Make sure the clamp screw is pointing down and not up after installation (this is of course just for cosmetic effect). The design suits many bathrooms and does its job well. highlighted.

Maybe I'm not the most practical person, but I still didn't understand how to install it properly. I understand how to install it, but it's insanely complicated. I wish they would just drill a hole in the top instead of trying to achieve a fairly streamlined look. The instructions didn't help. The mounting screws were much longer than needed. We mount the hook for the TOWEL, not for the TV. I used the shorter ones because it was fun.

. I unpacked it and saw those ugly plastic stabilizers. Such a shame! It was exactly what I used to want. But I didn't want that look. My bathroom is not fancy. Damn, my house is not fancy. But just a WHOLE ring in the holder would be perfect, which is what I expected. And no, they shouldn't hold the ring in place during transport as I naively thought. My husband took them out and the ring is cut so yes the plastic is important to the design.

Installed the whole "kit" of Moen faucets in the bathroom, looks great! This towel ring is too big for my space but I think I have the smallest bathroom in the US! Appreciate the range of Moen taps in the same design, my bathroom looks so much better when all the taps match - because it's so small you can see almost everything at once! I also bought a curved shower curtain rod from Moen which I cannot recommend highly enough for a small bathroom.

Pretty decent bath towel ring. In use for over a year. Still looks shiny and intact. Works fine, doesn't hang. The metal ring is permanently attached to the mount via a barely visible plastic sleeve, allowing me to lift the ring off the mount and it stays there. The towel ring looks very good. Dropping instructions, it's a nightmare. There is no picture of how it should be done which would be of great help. It comes with 3 screws and anchors. However, there are only 2 large screw slots if you use wall plugs. The slots do not match the size of the screws. There is also a hole for a screw that goes in the middle without using a dowel. The ring mount must be bent towards you to hang the holder on it. Then there is a small hole at the bottom of the bracket

This is exactly what I was looking for and very easy to install. I have a small countertop with a sink and there wasn't room for a towel rail. I mounted it on the wall next to the sink and it fits perfectly in my small bathroom. I'm a girl with limited power tool experience and this was very easy to use.
