Big disappointment! Has anyone else had this experience?

We've only had our faucet a few months and it started turning on its own. Sometimes it only works for a few seconds, sometimes a few minutes. Once started, it cannot be turned off. We tried removing the batteries but it still works. Once it turns off we can take out the batteries but then it doesn't even work manually. At first we thought it might be interference from radio waves in lights with motion sensors, but now it's happening even during the day. Big disappointment! Has anyone…

After two years of use I had to.

After two years of use I had to tighten the cartridge nut three times. You will know when it comes loose because it will flow out from under the handle. Inserting an allen wrench into the handle to remove it is a lot harder than it should be. The flush hole seal appears to be made of polyethylene which is too slippery. Even if I tighten the faucet as hard as I dare (porcelain sink), the faucet still moves. If the gasket was silicone or EPDM it would have more grip and could prevent the faucet…

Appearance and Function - But after 1 week it started leaking ATTENTION!

Delta originally ordered in arctic stainless steel finish. I liked their magnetic fixation of the atomizer. However, what they claimed was supposed to be brushed stainless steel looked like cheap shiny chrome someone had used with 30 grit sandpaper. It was really easy to install. It comes with a long tool to tighten the main nut that holds the faucet. So if you have a large, deep stainless steel sink, it's easy to tighten the nut without trying to get into the narrow gap between the sink and…

Ideal for 3 years, then fix the leak.

I bought this unit a little over 3 years ago and it started dripping from the handle in the up (hot) position. Everything else was perfect. I'm not sure how long this type of faucet is supposed to last, so I'm just deducting one star. I've already installed it twice (replacing the countertop) and the installation was easy, although it took a long time as I don't install faucets very often. UPDATE (4/16/16): I used a hex wrench to remove the handle. You will need a mirror to figure out what…

Big disappointment

I'm a handyman by trade. This faucet was easy to install and I have no complaints about the temperature control; However, the sensor is nothing but a giant pain. It spawns randomly whether someone is in the room or not. As part of a complete kitchen remodel, I installed a Moen MotionSense Wave faucet in my mom's house. She would wake up in the middle of the night or come home from a walk to find water running out of the faucet. The electricity went out during a thunderstorm, and when the lights

Pros
  • Great for a small home

We love our new Moen Motionsense kitchen faucet. At least now that we have a working one! First, let me say that I've never liked home plumbing projects because it feels like you're always in an awkward, awkward position in a tight space, like under a kitchen sink. Now that I'm in my 60's it's even worse. Removing the old faucet was painful, but I expected it. Installing the new Motionsense faucet was surprisingly easy and took probably 45 minutes. The problem was that it didn't work. The…

I love this faucet on Kitchen Sink Faucets

I installed it myself. Yes, I'm a woman, I don't have a plumbing degree and I'm not a spring chicken, but I had no problem installing this faucet. The instructions were clear and concise. It took 4.5 hours to remove the old faucet due to the unusual connector, for which I could not find a video or even a photo on the network. (Many words of power were said, and I got a black eye from dropping a giant crescent-shaped wrench on my forehead during surgery.) I had to rip out the entire sink to see…

Great and worth the money in many ways BUT BEWARE OF FILTERS THAT RECORD ALL

At first I was very hesitant about buying a more expensive motion sensor or a standard sensor. I also did a lot of research online and also spoke to our plumber who works in large buildings across New York. While he didn't have much of an opinion on movement and stillness, he included Moen in his short list of 3 brands worth buying. - Arc valve from spatter. Well pfft I ignored it and decided to spend the extra money on a motion sensor. The choice was between this and the other major…
