Shame: doesn't work with Apple Superdrive

Works well with my external monitor (HDMI) and two hard drives. However, today I found that it doesn't work with the Apple Superdrive (CD/DVD drive). Yes, that's in the specs above, so it's my fault for not seeing what to worry about. What's the point of selling a device that only works with some accessories and not all?

Pros
  • Sleek and modern design

  • Can't remember

Very important. the best of USB hubs

This product is now the most common in my everyday bag. What did I like best? 1. Small form factor, it's really easy to carry.2. Plug and Play, I just plugged it in and ready to use.3. Versatility, the number of ports added is really handy. More than enough4. And finally the excellent feeling you get when you hold it in your hand, it's durable and beautiful. This is an amazing product, it really improves the efficiency of the mobile environment.

Pros
  • Easy to use

Plug it in before you connect it to your MacBook

This is a great hub with 3 USB-A ports, HDMI, a DS card reader and a USB-C port. Here's how pass-through power works: plug it into one of those precious USB-C ports, then plug the USB-C power cable into the port and you won't lose a charging port. It lives in my MacBook Pro bag and is sure to pair with anyone with a USB-C-only device. A note: If the USB device does not show up, disconnect and reconnect the hub, the problem is resolved.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Out of fashion

This is a good product

I have used it for my Macbook Pro both on the go and at home. Ultra-fast USB 3.0 for fast data transfers and a great Gigabit Ethernet port. I throw this hub in my backpack along with my charger and I'm ready to go. Now all I have to do is connect this hub to my MacBook and all my peripherals are ready to go. I also like the fact that I can connect it from either side of the MacBook and it just works. I installed a dual screen (or triple screen if you count the laptop screen) with two HDMI…

Fits my setup - MacBook Pro, peripherals, monitor and charger

Have been using for less than a week but so far so good. My current configuration is: - MacBook Pro - Revain Basics USB Keyboard - Logitech USB Mouse - TCL 40" Roku TV (used as a monitor) Everything works and also supports charging my MacBook via USB-C charging cable. I also use an extension USB C cable to connect the hub to my computer (make sure you have one that has a 4K video transfer rate) No freezing, blinking, flickering, etc. so far. If this situation changes, I will come back and…

I had a previous version and it works fine!

I mainly use it when traveling but I also use it to connect my tablet or phone to 4K TV. This allowed me to leave my laptop at home, connect it to my phone, insert SD and micro SD cards, download 4K videos and digital images to a portable 1TB drive. It also charges the phone. The only major difference from the previous one was the addition of a third USB-A port. Power flow through the USB-C port, which delivers both data and power, is excellent. Video to HDTV through the phone was great, plug…

couldn't handle all ports

I thought this would solve my problems when I got a new laptop, but I still needed to connect three USB-3, HDMI and a Thunderbolt charger. One of the USBs was for my mouse and the mouse freezes and stutters so much on the move that it's essentially useless. I've tried disconnecting the other two USB-3s and at least leaving just the charger and HDMI and still no better. I tested it on all three USB 3 ports and no improvement. I just have to buy a new one from someone else because it's garbage if

Works great when it works

As with other browsers, the HDMI port on my device failed the first day I tried to use it. to read the signal. I let go of the cable - the hub resets the signal. The same cable works fine with other laptops on the same TV. This has nothing to do with the USB-C port as the laptop will still receive power (via the hub). Unfortunately, this hub uses a poor quality HDMI connector. I will return mine.

I've had good luck with Mokin adapters

I replaced my old adapter with this adapter because I needed a third USB port while working at home and I: a. Lazy and just wanted to put an adapter in my macb. The old adapter didn't support more than 50W USB power, so my Mac's performance was a bit limited (this wasn't usually a problem, but when I was running CPU-intensive activities (local K8 stack + VM. Don't ask) battery charging didn't always keep up) This adapter works great. Does what it's supposed to and I've had no problems. The old…

Worked for 2 months

I used it with my Macbook Pro to connect another monitor via HDMI. It was always quite slow to connect compared to my other USB3.0->HDMI adapter when I plugged it in (it took about 5-10 seconds for the CPU to recognize that a new monitor was connected, compared to about a half second), but that's absolutely a first world problem. Today I plugged it in and my second monitor stayed dark. I tried swapping the USB 3 ports on Mac but the device still failed. I've tried swapping the cables, but…
