I thought this would solve my problems when I got a new laptop, but I still needed to connect three USB-3, HDMI and a Thunderbolt charger. One of the USBs was for my mouse and the mouse freezes and stutters so much on the move that it's essentially useless. As with other browsers, the HDMI port on my device failed the first day I tried to use it. to read the signal. I let go of the cable - the hub resets the signal. The same cable works fine with other laptops on the same TV. This has nothing to do with the USB-C port as the laptop will still receive power (via the hub).
