Terrible do not buy

Wear and tear to make this item come completely out of the box and one strip does not fit as the strip is just a sticky material and there are no instructions and no instructions in the original packaging. terrible terrible

I use this on a scar from my breast reconstruction.

I am using this on a scar on my breast reconstruction after a mastectomy for breast cancer. My plastic surgeon wasn't sure if that would help. I saw almost immediate improvement after a week!

Recommended by a Wound Specialist

This item was recommended to me by a Wound Nurse friend of mine. My surgeon suggested a silicone band and I turned to my friend for recommendations after researching various products. I cut it into strips and hung it around my neck (a long thyroid scar). I didn't have to wash it because the scar is 3 1/2 weeks old and healing. I take it off to shower and put it back on. There are no liability issues. Will buy again.

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • Good but not Great

Poor adhesion good for healthcare

Surprised by the number of good reviews. While the first large patch I ordered was "ok" (it lasted about 5 days when I took it off to shower), the second one didn't last at all. My scar is on my back, so it's not really a difficult place or a place that's constantly moving. But the patch keeps rolling up and collecting dust/lint. I go through a patch every day that costs a fortune. I see no improvement in my scar even after 3 months of daily use.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • almost everything ok

THE ONLY THING PLASTIC SURGEONS RECOMMEND

I've been working for top plastic surgeons for over a decade and this is the only product they offer. That works great! and I'm a person who has horrible keloids if I don't use this. The trick to using it is to make sure it's ALWAYS on the scar. You will need to place (trim) it over the whole scar and it should last 7 days before falling off (don't take it off when you shower). As long as you leave this on your scar for 6 months post-surgery (24/7), your scar should heal fairly well. Also, do…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Not bad but not as good as Curad type silicone gel

I bought a sheet that came in a padded envelope, no box so there may have been a few sheets in the box. The sheet is very thin and had several folds. If you place it on a large area the creases won't affect performance, but I cut mine into smaller squares so I noticed some adhesion issues when I had a smaller area with a crease. I'm very sensitive to latex and have applied it to my face without any reaction whatsoever, so I'm pretty sure if latex is present in the composition or the adhesive it
