Arrived damaged - does not work.

was not only scratched when opening the undamaged box, but also didn't work. The base plate didn't rotate from horizontal to vertical to vertical no matter how far I let go of the tension knob. Super bad quality.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Much

Good product in the kit Tripods

This is a good product. I haven't tried it fully yet, but I'm sure it will serve the purpose of buying it. Very reasonable price. Sturdy but just the weight I was looking for. As mentioned, there is some greasy residue, but not much and it certainly wipes away, which isn't a problem for me.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Speed

Not worth a bit of money.

Wanted to like it, especially given the price and I liked the horizontal tilt feature. But in the end it just wasn't enough. The knobs are difficult to turn to lock/unlock and don't provide enough grip to do so effectively. Fluid also began to leak. I ended up investing in Manfrotto. Just do it. Serious.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • I'm concerned

Great Value - Complete Tripods

Incredibly strong and excellently smooth mechanism for the price. This isn't a ball head as the name suggests, look at the photos, it has nice separate pan and tilt controls, suitable for video or photos. Unlike the ball head, you can operate it with one hand and it stays level, which is what I wanted. However, the flip-up doesn't rotate 90 degrees vertically, which is disappointing.

Pros
  • A Dream Come True
Cons
  • Sad Device

Very impressed with the build quality and future features

The last tripod I've had in about 10 years and it has served me well but it's time to review my options to improve and to have a second tripod for video recording. The first impression was very impressive. The build quality and style are really good. I've tried everything including the foldable legs and extendable arm and I've come up with many new ways to use a tripod that I haven't had before. Good price, good workmanship, good features, good buy!

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • I don't really like anything everything is fine

Excellent tripod head

I wanted a flexible head but didn't want to break the bank. Attached to the legs Slik Pro Al-234. Bonus points for the edgy black and blue color scheme that matched the Slik perfectly. The head is good for the money but by no means elite. The Arca Swiss platform works well as a vertical camera position. Horizontal panning works well, very fluid. Vertical pan is two to three times stiffer, which is my only complaint. The grips feel a little cheap and the grip feels cheap and should be a little…

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Problems

I was looking for a good, reasonably priced full head angled spotting scope for my new 3.5lb Vortex Diamondback HD 20-60x85mm . It has a nice 2" base with a 3/8" hole for better tripods (and a 1/4 insert). It's made from beautifully formed, high-quality aluminum and is just right for carrying in the field with my Manfrotto 190xBPro tripod. The new Vortex Diamond backplate has a built in arca swiss style mounting plate, I didn't want to use an adapter so I found this unit with a nice built in…

Pros
  • Only positive
Cons
  • Minor repairability

Not worth going back

I have used many cheap and very expensive photo products for over 50 years. When I ordered this I knew it was a cheap pan/tilt made in China so I wasn't expecting much. I've worked with similar products many times and with a little effort I can usually get them working well enough to use. This head had such a weak pan axis that it swung up and down a lot to make useful videos. When I tightened the screw holding the plate to the pan axis just enough to stop most up and down swings, panning was…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • High price

This is a quality item!

I have been a world class professional photographer for many years and I only buy the highest quality equipment! I am no longer in this industry. I've been shooting video lately and needed a video head mount because I like to work a lot with a tripod to keep everything stable and using a tripod gives you control over the framing of the shot. much better. I bought this head because it looked solid and although it looked small format in the picture, when it arrived I took it out of the box and…

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Finally a stable table tripod for my spotting scope!

I've been looking and trying a binocular for my heavy binoculars for a long time and FINALLY FOUND A GOOD ONE! Just to clarify, this is a review for two different items. A tripod stand is shown in the pictures and a top mounted swivel head is also shown in the picture. Everything is CNC aluminum, thick and durable. Just for reference, my spotting scope weighs 76.6 ounces or 4.5 pounds. AND IT'S RELIABLE! The three-legged base is rated at 176 pounds, and that's serious! The swivel head rotates…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors have arrived
