Does not support HDMI 2.1 bandwidth

Does not actually support 4K@120Hz as advertised. Switching the cable to another cable that supports 48Gb/s solved the problem. Avoid this if you need HDMI2.1 bandwidth.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Legacy model

Great HDMI cable!

A bit pricey but works fantastic! The cable works great and handles every content I've plugged into it so far. It should easily handle a PS5 with my Sony X900H TV in November when the console comes out!

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Functionality

Revainrating 1 out of 5

WILL NOT WORK ABOVE 4K/60Hz/8bit/444 or equivalent.

The name speaks for itself. This cable does not operate at the advertised 48Gb/s speed, at least not the 40ft fiber variant. AVOID this cable if you have an Amp or Next Gen HDMI 2.1 source and are trying to set the resolution to 4K/120/10 or 12bit/RGB/444.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • A few little things

DO NOT BUY FOR 4K HDR OR HIGH FRAMES

Connected to my LG C9 from my RTX 3090, HDR keeps turning on and off, just random black screen and won't turn on without a hard reboot . Bought a Zeskit 8k HDMI cable with fantastic results and cost $25 out of $200. Don't waste your money with a flimsy cut cable and doesn't support 4k HDR.

Pros
  • Full set
Cons
  • Long wait

Can't know for sure yet

I'm using a 50 inch TV from Nvidia 1080ti to LG C9 TV with 4k 60hz HDR. Works perfectly. Hopefully the prices will come down as this is a mass-produced item. I can't say for sure if the cable will work at full capacity until Nvidia releases an HDMI 2.1 capable GPU, so I'll try to remember to update this review when that happens.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Not as good as advertised

Doesn't work with LG C9 series and RTX 3000s even after LG firmware

Unfortunately I had to return this cable as it didn't work for it's intended purpose - 4K 120Hz HDR G-Sync on my LG C9 from mine PC with RTX 3080. And yes I have new LG firmware for full compatibility. I ended up with a Zeskit 16FT 8K cable and a 9FT 8K extension cable. As long as it works

Pros
  • fingers crossed
Cons
  • silent

Looks great for audio and video accessories

It hurt me to spend over $200 on a 40 foot HDMI cable that would have been good enough. But I finally got off of it and the cable seems to be working great. I've had it for probably a few months now and I've watched a lot of movies with no unexpected drama. The signal is sent in 4k @ 60Hz and my projector detects it at those frequencies but then the 1080p projector downscales it. So as far as I can tell, no problems and great performance.

Nice design but didn't work as advertised

Monoprice makes great cables. However, I ordered two and neither of them worked for my 3070-E9 OLED. None of the cables could reach more resolution than 1080p at 120Hz. I gave two stars because the materials and construction of the cable were good. My conclusion is that either two defective cables were sent or the product was not extensively tested on everything advertised in the HDMI 2.1 specification. If you are wondering what I bought and what worked for me is RUIPRO 8K HDMI 40ft HDMI 2.1…

High price but great results

This allowed me to instantly achieve HDR at 4K at 60Hz in 30 minutes from a Marantz 8805AV processor to an Epson 6050UB projector (I also had to change the Epson EDID signal setting from switch on normally to advanced). With my previously purchased Fusion 4K cable, I was only able to get 4K@60Hz without HDR or 4K@30Hz with HDR. I tried other, cheaper means in the hours leading up to purchasing this cable, including swapping out shorter, cheaper HDMI cables from multiple sources (Xbox One X…
