Disappointing Performance: Not Worth the Investment

As a loyal Automotive shopper, I was extremely let down by this suspension product. As a result of using this product, I found that my ride was noticeably rougher and less comfortable. The advertised performance upgrade didn't seem to make a difference in terms of handling or stability. On the plus side, the installation process was relatively easy. However, it wasn't worth the investment in terms of overall driving experience.

Pros
  • Durable and long-lasting
Cons
  • Lacks adjustability for different road conditions and driving styles

Nothing extra is included at all. Just boxing and just shock.

There is no hardware in the kit and it's almost impossible to find just hardware for my car so I would specifically check if you have additional hardware or if existing hardware can be reused. Otherwise good luck removing the old stuff / finding a replacement if you have a 25 year old van like mine.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Worked perfectly. When replacing

Worked perfectly. When replacing, use a special tool to remove the top nut. If the top stud is rusted (or damaged), it can only be removed by cutting off the bolt and then the nut with a Dremel. The tool simplifies reinstallation.Part number: Kent Moore J-39648-1 (and -2).

Pros
  • 1/2" piston rod: Nitrocarburized piston rod for longer life. Fits units without dust cover only
Cons
  • Not all will fit
