I wish I had bought something else

Installed. Almost as bad as the ones I replaced. Has strong rebound. I didn't see Monroe anywhere in the box. I have a feeling it's fake.

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • Not reliable

Excellent Ride Improvement

First time the damper worked but these items fit perfectly and are easy to install. I replaced the original 18 year old shock absorbers and the driving results have been great.

Pros
  • Great Choice
Cons
  • Expensive

These shocks worked great on my Toyota Sequoia

I definitely feel my 2001 Toyota Sequoia Limited drives better. It also raised the back a few inches. Would definitely buy again.

Pros
  • . Few competitors
Cons
  • Not the best

I put them on a 2005 Toyota Sequoia.

Put on a 2005 Toyota Sequoia. I've had these for over a year now and I think I'm ready to replace them. They sag and don't seem to support the weight of passengers or towing.

Pros
  • Doping 🔥
Cons
  • Nothing

I was amazed they were that bad

Installed these Monroe shocks on the rear of my Toyota Sequoia. I took them off after 2 months because the car bounced on bumps. I was amazed they were so bad because Monroe has a good name. I ended up buying 2 more OEM shocks from the dealer and now it rides perfectly without bouncing. Buy OEM!

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Useless features

Doesn't fit Sequoia (2007)

I don't know how it could be installed on Toyota Sequoia (01-07) without removing the bushings. The shank has upper and lower bushings on the top screw. If you reuse them, the bolt on this damper is not long enough. Doesn't come with 2 sets of bushings, so maybe you shouldn't use them? In any case, it is not the same as the original shock absorber.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Sundries

In the morning I spend removing old shock absorbers and then.

I removed the old shock absorbers in the morning and then found that the replacement did not fit. Mounting rods at the top are significantly smaller in diameter and length. The hub kits are much smaller than stock Toyotas and were missing some rear plates (only need 4 per shock). I checked the model and part number and it still says 2014 Toyota Sequoia.

Pros
  • Quality assembly
Cons
  • Requires a socket
